Landscape Architect

Ayami Akagawa is a Landscape Architect with a background in civil engineering and human rights studies. She has grown her passion for climate adaptation work by engaging in reconstruction efforts from natural disasters in Japan and studying informal coastal communities in the Philippines. Her interests lie in the complex interplay of infrastructure systems, policies, and socio-economic dynamics incurred by environmental changes. Ayami received a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from The University of Tokyo, Japan.
