Jason is from a small town in California known for its almond orchards. As new development grew, their incremental disappearance instilled in him an understanding of the power of landscape at a cultural and experiential level. This was reaffirmed through his travels within Central and South America, where he saw the importance of listening to and engaging with local communities in order to cultivate spaces that deliver a sense of pride and identity. Combined with his experience in habitat restoration, Jason brings a versatile skillset facilitating designs that are culturally sensitive, integrate ecological systems, and are inspired by the surrounding natural environment. Jason received a Master of Landscape Architecture from University of California, Berkeley, in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2010.
