Located in East Harlem, the Silberman School of Social Work is home to an academic community that has direct ties to the surrounding neighborhoods. A 10,000 sf rooftop plaza serves as the primary outdoor meeting and study space for Hunter College’s academic community.
Nestled in the building core, one story below the rooftop plaza, is a viewing garden planted with native woodland species. This intimate courtyard space is a prominent feature when viewed from the adjacent library.
MNLA's plaza and courtyard form the core of campus life during good weather and visual relief year-round.
