MNLA is providing landscape architectural services for a complete redevelopment of 12 acres of downtown Newark on the former Bears Stadium site. A large mixed use residential, office, cultural and retail development with a variety of public open spaces is planned within the city's burgeoning tech sector, adjacent to the Passaic River.
The site design will turn a very urban, concrete location into a nature-filled leisure and cultural retreat for both residents and local workers. The landscape plan will aim to increase downtown’s connection to surrounding green spaces and transit opportunities while creating a welcoming and inviting plaza for all Newark residents.
