This 18,000 sf courtyard is framed by a residential condominium tower on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. By designing a variety of landscaped rooms, MNLA created a dynamic outdoor environment for the residents while responding to the adjacent building program and the courtyard microclimate. A large wood trellis frames a central gathering place, creating a pleasant place to recline on hammocks, while an elevated terrace surrounded by lush plantings offers a unique perspective overlooking the space.
